Asics was started as a humble living room manufacturer of basketball shoes in Kobe, Japan during 1949, coming to the United States in 1977. Today, Asics' athletics shoes encompass specialty footwear for running, training, volleyball, walking, wrestling, cheering, tennis, field hockey, and kids. Their footwear is constantly studied and adjusted at their athletics lab to deliver optimal performance and arch support.
